Challenge Update

We had a great workshop with Bernadette Kent on Saturday. Lots of thread of every colour and type flying around the tables of our busy stitchers. And there were some wonderful embroideries coming from the furious needles. Thank you, Bernadette, for a great day!

And for the ongoing challenge results…

Oh-oh.

Bernadette Kent of Wonderfil Threads coming to Guild this Saturday, March 12th.

Wonderfil.jpg

Bernadette Kent is teaching an all day workshop on Saturday at our regular guild meeting. We will have a quick show and tell, and then get ready for a delightful day of working on a small project and learning some new stitches with beautiful new threads from Wonderfil, led by Bernadette.

Bernadette is the former owner of Traditional Pastimes Quilt Shop and is a published author with Kansas City Star Quilts. Bernadette is the creative mind behind many new and innovative quilt patterns and has a genius for colour.

Kits will be available for the small projects with a wonderful array of threads for $25. The workshop will be in two parts – morning and afternoon, so bring your lunch and plan for a great day of sewing. The project will be hand stitching, so you will need a few small sewing tools (scissors, thimble if you use one, and a small embroidery hoop 8 – 10 inches). Bernadette is supplying the needles, threads and fabric in the kits, including some new threads from the Sue Spargo line in Eleganza.

It promises to be a day full of learning and good conversation as we happily stitch away side by side with expert guidance from Bernadette.Eleganza-SS.jpg

creamSet up and Clean up this month is Shirley H, Debbie M, Shelley N, and Liz L. Please remember to bring cream/milk.

See you all Saturday at 9:30 AM.
