Hi Everyone! I hope that you’ve had a fabulous holiday season. Are you ready to continue our voyage into uncharted seas of fabrics and techniques yet to be encountered?
Yes, we’re continuing the nautical theme all year but we add the celebration of Canada’s sesquicentennial (that’s 150th birthday in plain language!). This was a feature of the Carole Lawrence challenge. Take another look at the challenges for this year and keep on planning and working on the ones you want to participate in. June will be her before you know it.
Next Meeting Date: January 14, 2017 starts at 09:30
Don’t forget to bring your Show & Tell items.
Jan B will be doing a demo on Labels.
Plan to stay and sew for part or all of the afternoon. Let’s keep on building connections and community in 2017.
Comfort Quilts – You should now have 4 rows of 3 of the 10” (cut) squares. Bring what you have to pass along to the next person and don’t forget to pick one up to do the next round on.
Set up & Clean up
Those who have signed up for set up & clean up if you could be at the church by about 0845 to ensure the coffee gets started and table are set up. Don’t forget to bring cream/milk.
You don’t need to stay until the last sewing group leaves but the kitchen should be put to order & unused tables put away prior to leaving.
